Maya Top in Ice-Dye

This oversized Maya top is made from bamboo and cotton. It was handloomed by an artisan family in Kathmandu, then nautrally dyed by a mom and daughter team in Kakani, and finally designed and sewn in the city by a small team of women. This style is called 'ice dyeing' where indigo is frozen into ice and placed on top of the fabric, as it slowley melts, it creates this beautiful pattern.
