Highland Cane Basket
$40.00Price
The Highland cane basket comes from the Darchula district, in the northwest corner of Nepal with elevation ranges from 6,400-9,800 ft. The basket is woven in a way that it is double-sided, with the sturdy, nautrally waxy outter surface of the cane exposed so that is easy to wipe clean without compromising its durability. These are traditionally used in Nepal for grain storage or for greasy sel roti (Nepali-style deep fried donuts) during festival season. Because of this unique structure, the basket withstands oil, water, and grease well.
